Maria Genovard is a Mallorcan designer and artist with a career spanning more than three decades in the world of fashion and visual arts. Influenced by a nearby sewing teacher, she opened her own clothing shop at the age of 18, combining commercial brands with her own exclusive designs.
Al llarg de la seva carrera, Maria ha creat al voltant de 600 vestits de novia i destaca per la capacitat per combinar teixits delicats com la seda amb materials més rústics, de manera que crea textures úniques. A més de la moda, ha explorat la pintura i l’escultura, reciclant materials i elaborant escultures dinàmiques que sembla que estan en moviment.
Throughout her career, Maria has created around 600 wedding dresses and is known for her ability to combine delicate fabrics such as silk with more rustic materials, creating unique textures. In addition to fashion, she has explored painting and sculpture, recycling materials and crafting dynamic sculptures that appear to be in motion.
